Scattered showers across Orkney and Shetland today, however there will be a good deal of dry and sunny conditions in between. Winds increasing during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Tonight:

It will become increasingly cloudy through this evening and overnight with frequent showers, heavy at times. Winds also picking up overnight. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Friday 13th January:

Frequent blustery showers continuing through most of the day on Friday, becoming drier into the evening with winds easing. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

A mix of sunshine and scattered showers over the coming days, these increasingly falling as snow from later on Sunday. Winds turning to a cold northerly.
