Today 13th January:

There will be a mixture of clear, bright or sunny intervals and occasional showers, some of these quite heavy. There will be a moderate to fresh northerly breeze. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

There will be some clear spells and a few showers, these mostly dying out over Shetland. Winds will become lighter. Ground frost possible over Shetland bringing icy patches. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Saturday 14th January:

Shetland will be bright with showers perhaps turning wintry at times. Orkney looks cloudier with more frequent sohwers, even some longer spells of rain in afternoon. Strengthening easterly winds. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

A mix of sunshine and scattered showers over the coming days, these increasingly falling as snow from later on Sunday. Winds turning to a cold northerly.
