Hill Street Blues #OnThisDay

On 15th of January 1981 the American cop series Hill Street Blues first aired on NBC.

The show had a prime time slot and viewers followed the lives of the police in the Hill Street station for 146 episodes. It changed the way we expected TV police shows to look.

It won a total of 26 Emmy awards. Created by Steven Bochco and Michael Kozoll with a stonking theme tune by Mike Post. Here’s a reminder
