Today 31st January:

It will be very windy today with gale force westerly winds. This accompanied by frequent heavy showers with the risk of hail and thunder at times. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

The showers will continue this evening, with winds increasing into the early hours, particularly across Orkney. Showers becoming less frequent by dawn. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Wednesday 1st Februrary:

There will be a mix of sunshine and showers through tomorrow with winds gradually easing into the afternoon. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Dry to start on Thursday but rain pushing up from the southwest later. Windy with sunny spells and a few showers on Friday. Rain Saturday morning, sunshine and showers later.
