Sunny intervals and showers, these heavy across Shetland at first. Showers easing in the afternoon. A windy start, these strong to gale form the northwesterly winds, moderating through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

Still a few showers around this evening, mainly across Shetland, but becoming light and well scattered. Dry with occasional clear spells at first overnight, but rain pushing into Orkney later. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Thursday 2nd February:

A bright start across Shetland, but outbreaks of rain across Orkney pushing into Shetland during the day. Some low cloud and mist, the rain heavy at times in the evening. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Mainly dry and bright early Friday, the rain later. Rain clearing to showers on Saturday, strong westerly winds. Easing winds and showers dying out on Sunday, rain possible later.
