Early rain across Shetland clears eastwards this morning, otherwise a rather cloudy day across the Northern Isles with a few spots of rain and drizzle. The best of any sunnier spells expected across eastern Orkney. Occasionally strong southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Tonight:
Rather cloudy with, especially for Shetland, a little light rain and drizzle. Some clear spells are likely across Orkney and perhaps eastern Shetland. Occasionally strong southwesterly breeze. Minimum temperature 7 °C.
Sunday 12th February:
Remaining rather cloudy with the odd spot of rain and drizzle across Shetland, while Orkney looks mainly dry with some bright or sunny spells. Mild, occasionally strong southwesterly breeze continuing. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Mainly dry Monday but Shetland rather cloudy but brighter across Orkney. Tuesday dry with some sunny spells, but after a bright morning Wednesday cloud and rain spread east in afternoon.
