Today 1st March:

Cloudy start with still the odd light shower. Dry, brighter conditions coming in from the north with sunshine reaching Shetland by mid morning and Orkney in the afternoon. Light to moderate northerly breeze. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

A dry evening and night. Some good clear spells especially across Shetland, with broken cloud at times around Orkney. Winds falling light allowing a touch of frost over Shetland. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Thursday 2nd March:

Staying settled with occasional sunshine, while rainfall is likely to be restricted to isolated, light showers. Light winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Mostly dry start on Friday then light showers spreading from north. Turning colder over the weekend with a few wintry showers.
