Some bright or sunny intervals and frequent hail and snow showers, occasionally heavy this afternoon. Chance of thunder. Feeling bitterly cold in the fresh to strong north or northeasterly wind. Maximum temperature 2 °C.

Tonight:

Clear periods with frequent snow and hail showers, heavy at times. Some moderate falls of snow developing in places by the end of the night. Cold with icy patches. Minimum temperature -2 °C.

Tuesday 7th March:

Continuing very cold with frequent snow and hail showers along with sunny intervals. Fresh to strong northerly winds moderating later. Maximum temperature 2 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Continuing very cold with further snow and hail showers on Wednesday and Thursday. Becoming drier on Friday but remaining cold.
