Sunny intervals and frequent snow showers through the day. A bitterly cold day with fresh to strong northerly winds. Some hail and thunder is possible later in the day. Maximum temperature 4 °C.
Tonight:
Snow showers will continue through the night, although becoming lighter and less frequent towards dawn. Northerly winds will also ease. Minimum temperature -3 °C.
Monday 27th March:
A few wintry showers possible at first, but mainly dry. Best of the sunny spells in the morning. Cloud increases in the afternoon with rain over Shetland in the evening. Maximum temperature 5 °C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Dry for a time on Tuesday, but rain and strong winds later. Remaining windy with patchy light rain Wednesday and Thursday.
