A wet day across Shetland, drier for Orkney.

Today 6th April:

Rain, heavy at times, will linger across Shetland throughout the day, easing later in the afternoon. Perhaps a little rain in the east of Orkney at first but otherwise mostly dry with some sunny spells later. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

Cloud and light rain continuing over Shetland this evening and overnight, eventually clearing to the east by around dawn. Dry for Orkney with clear spells. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Friday 7th April:

A fine and dry day across the Northern Isles tomorrow. with a good deal of sunshine and generally light winds. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Staying fine and dry over the weekend with sunshine, and patchy cloud at times. Winds picking up through Sunday. Rain Monday morning clearing to sunshine and showers later, winds easing.
