Weather Forecast: Rain, Gales, Gradually Clearing from the South

Today 12th April:

After a dry start over the north, Shetland will be mainly cloudy with outbreaks of rain and easterly gales, before brightening towards evening. Orkney soon brightening up with sunny intervals and showers, early easterly gales easing. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

There will be a mixture of clear intervals and a few showers. A moderate to fresh east or southeast breeze. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Thursday 13th April:

Bright or sunny intervals and a few showers, though Orkney turning cloudier with more frequent showers, these reaching Shetland later. Moderate northeast breeze. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

There will be a mix of sunshine and scattered showers on Friday, then dry and sunny on Saturday. Sunday staying dry and bright, though with stronger southerly winds.
