Early low cloud, mist and perhaps fog patches, but these soon burning back to leave a fine, dry day with prolonged sunshine. Feeling spring like with southeast breezes quite light. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Remaining dry with little if any cloud through the evening and night. Winds generally light, perhaps fresh across Orkney for the evening, from the southeast. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Wednesday 19th April:

Another fine, dry day with prolonged periods of sunshine and only light east to southeast breezes. Temperatures again peaking above the seasonal averages. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Largely dry but occasional low cloud and mistiness returning for Thursday and Friday, then cooler with chance of light showers for Saturday.
