Overcast with extensive low cloud and rain or drizzle at times although western Orkney may briefly brighten up. Fog patches across Orkney, and these developing across Fair Isle and Shetland in the afternoon. Fresh to strong southeasterly wind. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
Tonight:
Drizzle, low cloud with some fog lingering through the evening and much of the night. Somewhat clearer weather may develop across Orkney later. Fresh to strong south to southeasterly wind. Minimum temperature 7 °C.
Monday 8th May:
Shetland and Fair Isle remaining dull with occasional rain or drizzle, fog lifting for a time. Mainly dry and mild with bright spells across Orkney. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Chance of showers or occasionally longer spells of rain. Haar at times, especially across Shetland where it may linger.
