Rather cloudy start with scattered showers, most readily appearing across Shetland. Showers dwindling for the afternoon, while sunny spells increase. Northwesterly winds strong over Shetland. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Any lingering afternoon showers soon dying away to leave a dry evening and night with good late sunshine then clear spells. Fresh to strong northwesterly easing. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Wednesday 17th May:

Dry with some limited brighter spells for the morning. Cloud gradually thickening and lowering from south through afternoon, bringing periods of rain towards early evening, as winds back southwest. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Friday looks best with mainly dry and bright weather. Thursday and Saturday cloudy with occasional rain, with outbreaks most persistent across the northwest.
