Kirkwall RNLI Lifeboat Station will be hosting an Open Day on Saturday 27 May, between 11am and 3pm.
The Open Day, on Saturday 27 May, will be an opportunity for the local community to learn more about the lifeboat station and its volunteers, as well as to see the lifeboat up close.
The event offers the chance to look around the lifeboat, meet the volunteer crew and station mascot, Stormy Stan. There will also be refreshments, a raffle and souvenirs for sale.
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. The charity’s lifeboats are crewed by volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
