Today 26th May:

Dry and bright start with sunny spells, but cloud thickening over Orkney in the morning to bring patchy rain and this will spread to Shetland through the afternoon. Lighter westerly winds at first, but freshening southwest winds later. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain or drizzle and low cloud and mist is likely, especially onto western coasts, but Orkney could see some breaks in the cloud. Southwest winds strengthening. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Saturday 27th May:

Cloudy and rather windy with rain becoming more prolonged in the morning, Becoming drier and brighter through the afternoon with winds turning westerly, but a few showers will follow. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Winds easing overnight, then bright spells and the odd shower on Sunday. Mostly dry and bright on Monday and Tuesday, but cloudier over Shetland on Tuesday with a little rain.
