A dry and largely sunny morning, although the sunshine across Orkney will turn increasingly hazy. Shetland stays dry with some good sunny spells through the afternoon but thickening cloud brings outbreaks of rain to Orkney. Freshening southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

A damp evening for Orkney with increasing cloud bringing rain to Shetland towards midnight. The rain clears Orkney around midnight, and Shetland through the early hours, with clear spells developing. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Wednesday 28th June:

A bright morning with sunny spells and a few showers but increasing cloud brings more frequent showers to Orkney for the afternoon. Mainly light southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Bright Thursday with a few showers. A bright morning too on Friday but more persistent rain expected in the afternoon. Then showers or longer spells of rain on Saturday.
