Today 28th June:

Early cloud and patchy rain soon clearing Shetland then a bright day across the Northern Isles with some sunny spells and a few afternoon showers. Occasionally fresh southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Some late sunshine this evening then clear spells overnight and, while many places stay dry, a few showers. The southwesterly breeze persists. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Thursday 29th June:

Still the risk of a few showers around, but many places dry with some good spells of sunshine. Risk of more frequent showers in the evening. Freshening southerly winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Rather cloudy with showers or longer spells of occasionally heavy rain on Friday. Breezy over the weekend with strong westerly winds with occasional showers, but also some sunny spells.
