A mostly cloudy day with showers or even some longer spells of rain, especially across Shetland, heavy at times. Freshening westerly winds across Orkney in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

A cloudy night with rain at times, briefly heavy for a time across Orkney. Shetland turning drier later. Windy for a time across Orkney with a chance of westerly gales. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Sunday 2nd July:

A mostly cloudy day with rain or drizzle at times, although Orkney may see some brighter spells. Brisk west to northwesterly winds, occasionally strong across Orkney. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Further rain on Monday, although Shetland drying up later. Brighter and drier on Tuesday and Wednesday with just a few showers.
