Monday looks dry and bright with some sunny spells and mainly light winds. Perhaps some low cloud and drizzle reaching northern Shetland later in the evening. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Low cloud and drizzle continue to spread slowly south across Shetland through the night while Orkney stays dry with clear spells. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Tuesday 1st August:

Cloud and patchy drizzle continue over Shetland spreading to Orkney for a time in the morning before the afternoon becomes drier and brighter again. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

A lot of rather cloudy weather with a few light showers over the next few days. Light winds Wednesday turn northerly and freshen from the afternoon continuing into Friday.
