Weather Forecast: Mainly Dry with Sunny Spells

Today 14th August:

A bright day across the Northern Isles with some sunny spells around. Most places will be dry but a few light showers are possible along with, especially for Shetland, patchy haar. Mainly light winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Mainly dry through the evening with some late sunny spells. Cloud is expected to increase overnight bringing the risk of scattered light showers. A light northerly breeze develops. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Tuesday 15th August:

A rather cloudy day with scattered, mainly light showers around, the best of any brighter or sunnier spells likely across southern parts of Shetland and Orkney. Mainly light northerly winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Mainly dry through Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with some sunny spells, but also an increasing risk of occasional low cloud and haar as southeasterly winds freshen later in the week.
