Orkney will see rain this morning, occasionally heavy, then this afternoon will be dry and cloudy. Mainly dry across Shetland this morning but outbreaks of rain will develop this afternoon, mainly across southern Shetland. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

A cloudy evening and night with outbreaks of rain, mostly across Shetland this evening but extending southwards into Orkney in the early hours. Fresh occasionally strong northeasterly winds across Shetland. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Friday 25th August:

A lot of cloud through the day with outbreaks of rain, perhaps heavy at times. Brisk northeasterly winds across Shetland. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Mainly dry on Saturday with just a few showers. Cloudy on Sunday with some light rain extending east for a time. Mainly dry on Monday with the odd light shower.
