Today 6th September:

Dry and bright across Shetland at first. Cloud, light rain and drizzle across Orkney spreads to Shetland during the morning. Orkney becomes drier and brighter through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Patchy drizzle, low cloud and haar affect Shetland and northern parts of Orkney through much of the night. Clearer and drier conditions southern parts Orkney spread north later. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Thursday 7th September:

Low cloud and haar over eastern Shetland for much of the day, brighter over Orkney and western parts of Shetland. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Mostly dry with bright spells and haar at times Friday into Saturday morning. Becoming cloudy Saturday with light rain later. Drier with bright spells from Sunday afternoon.
