On 17th of September 1972 the TV comedy series “M*A*S*H”, adapted from the movie, starring Alan Alda, Loretta Swit, Wayne Rogers, and McLean Stevenson was first shown on CBS in the US.
It ran for 11 years and won 14 Emmys and 1 Peabody Award.
It is still being shown on TV today.
