Today 26th September:

It will be dry and bright from much of the day, but rather windy, these fresh to strong from the south or southeast. Showers or some longer outbreaks of rain pushing into Orkney later in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

The rain continuing north into Shetland this evening, heavy at times. Drier and clearer conditions returning overnight with just a scattering of showers. Winds turning into the southwest and easing. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Wednesday 27th September:

Dry and bright during daylight hours with sunny spells and mainly moderate winds. Turning wet and windy during the evening. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Rain or showers on Thursday, south-westerly gales for a time. Bright with strong southwest winds and a scattering of showers on Friday. Mainly dry with winds easing on Saturday.
