Orkney Rape and Sexual Assault Service (ORSAS) is asking the public to ‘Imagine a Scotland without Gender Based Violence.’
This is the theme of the 2023 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence, which runs from 25 November – 10 December 2023,
What’s on during the 16 Days Campaign:
13-25 November 2023: ‘The Strawplaiters of Orkney’ by Fiona Grahame. Northlight Gallery, Stromness, daily 11am – 4pm. Free and open to the public. The exhibition is part of the Fair Saturday Scotland Festival in collaboration with Orkney Rape and Sexual Assault Service (ORSAS). ORSAS has on display some Zine pages from their September workshop and you can make a donation to the charity.

Friday 24 November 2023: ORSAS Open Day – ORSAS is hosting an Open Day at 26 Bridge Street between 10am-2pm to launch the 16 Days Campaign. Drop in and view the current exhibition You can also find out about the service and their plans for 16 Days, view the support spaces and gather information for yourself and/or your clients.
Saturday 25 November 2023: Peedie Birds Display at St Magnus Cathedral between 2-4pm.

Saturday 25 November 2023: St Magnus Cathedral will be lit up in Orange for the International day for the Elimination of Violence against Women & Girls. If you take any photos, be sure to tag ORSAS on social media or email them for sharing.
