Another bright day with some sunny spells, the best of these over Orkney. A few showers over Shetland. Light south to southwesterly winds at first slowly freshening in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Tonight:

A dry evening with some clear spells though high cloud thickening and southerly winds strengthening, Rain will arrive around midnight, gales for a time, then clearer, scattered showers by morning. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Thursday 14th December:

A bright day with a mixture of sunny intervals and a few showers, blown through on a fresh to strong southwesterly breeze. A little milder. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Sunny intervals and showers on Thursday and Friday, Cloudy with rain on Saturday, very windy with severe gales possible for a time. Turning milder,
