Today 10th February:

A bright start across Shetland, but cloud and outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow across Orkney edge across Shetland through the late morning and afternoon. Any snow becoming confined to Shetland hills through the afternoon. Strong easterly winds. Maximum temperature 4 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy this evening with further outbreaks of rain, and hill snow. Orkney becomes drier overnight with clear spells, while rain over Shetland becomes more persistent and occasionally heavy. Breezy. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Sunday 11th February:

Cloudy across Shetland with occasionally heavy rain. However, Orkney sees a bright morning, but cloud increases in the afternoon bringing some rain. Occasionally strong southeasterly winds, easing later across Orkney. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Cloud and persistent rain continues across Shetland though much of Monday, otherwise a mix of clear or sunny spells and occasionally heavy showers through the coming days.
