Sunny spells and a few showers, these mostly across Shetland and more isolated over Orkney. Strong west to southwesterly winds across Shetland easing down later this morning. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Largely dry this evening for Orkney but a few showers for Shetland. The risk of showers increases for Orkney through the night. Moderate northerly winds. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Friday 15th March:

Bright or sunny intervals and occasional showers. These showers tending to die out later in the afternoon and evening. Moderate to fresh northerly winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Dry and sunny for much of Saturday, but cloud and rain in evening for Orkney. Windy and changeable on Sunday with a few showers. Bright and mainly dry on Monday.
