A mixture of bright spells and showers, the showers heavy at times, perhaps merging into the odd longer spell of rain. Winds will be variable in direction, freshening from the north across Orkney later in the day. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Showers with occasional drier and clearer spells through this evening. The showers becoming well scattered overnight, winds becoming strong from the northwest. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Tuesday 16th April:

Bright and showery, the best of the brightness expected through the morning, the showers possible merging at times in the afternoon. Chilly west or northwest winds, these strong at times. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

A mixture of bright spells and showers, although often dry and bright on Wednesday. The showers perhaps merging at times on Thursday. Breezy.
