Today 29th April:

Showers quickly dying out over Orkney this morning, but lingering across Shetland until lunchtime then brightening up here too, with good spells af sunshine in the afternoon. Strong southwesterly winds easing. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Bright start to evening then clouding over from the south with some occasional light rain developing. Then becoming drier and clearer agaion overnight. Freshening south to southeasterly winds. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Tuesday 30th April:

A dry and bright day with some good sunny spells through the day. Perhaps the odd patch of low cloud or haar. Milder, especially in west, fresh southeast winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Some showery rain Wednesday then mainly dry but risk of haar. Thursday and Friday look dry with some sunny periods.
