Cloudy and rather misty at times with patchy rain and drizzle. Rain turning persistent and heavy at times later in the afternoon, especially for Orkney. Fresh northeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with persistent and occasionally heavy rain for Orkney this evening, but mainly dry for Shetland. Turning drier across Orkney later with some clearer spells developing. Windy. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Sunday 16th June:

Largely cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. The best of the drier and brighter conditions expected in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Remaining largely unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain. Some drier and sunnier periods expected too.
