A mainly cloudy day with scattered, mostly light showers, especially later in the day. A little sunshine developing at times this afternoon, especially over Orkney. Fresh southerly winds, easing later. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy for much of tonight with some patchy light rain for a time. Drier, brighter conditions will follow to Orkney later in the night. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Saturday 22nd June:

Early light rain soon clearing from Shetland, then dry for much of the day across the Isles with some sunshine. Thickening clouds and light rain returning during evening. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

A mostly dry, settled few days across the Isles with sunny spells. It will feel warm in the sunshine with southerly winds, fresh at times.
