Early rain or drizzle soon clearing Shetland and brisk winds easing through the morning. Otherwise mostly cloudy with a few showers across Orkney in the afternoon, Shetland dry with a few brighter spells, evening showers likely. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

A few showers continuing into the night, possibility of a heavier shower at first for Shetland. Clear spells developing by dawn. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Friday 26th July:

A few showers for Orkney but otherwise dry with some sunny spells and mainly light winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

On the whole a dry bright weekend with some sunny spells, especially on Saturday, a few passing showers especially for Orkney. Cloud thickening later Monday with chance of evening rain.
