A dry day with variable amounts of cloud and some bright or sunny spells. Misty low cloud may affect Shetland and Fair Isle at times, and Orkney at first. Brisk southeasterly winds. Warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Rain spreading across Orkney this evening, then dry. Shetland seeing a largely dry evening before rain develops in the early hours, then becoming dry later. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Saturday 3rd August:

A mainly dry day with some good spells of sunshine. Cloudier across Orkney later with the chance of a shower. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Dry for most of Sunday, occasional rain later. Cloudy with rain at times on Monday. Dry and brighter on Tuesday.
