Most of today will be dry with some sunshine, especially this morning. Thickening cloud through this afternoon will bring a little rain to Orkney later. Moderate southerly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:
Cloudy with outbreaks of rain this evening for Orkney, spreading to Shetland by around midnight. Rain becomes light and patchy during the rest of the night. Fresh southeasterly winds. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Monday 5th August:
A cloudy day with outbreaks of rain, these occasionally heavy. The chance of the odd brighter spell for Orkney. Fresh to strong southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Cloud and patchy rain at first on Tuesday followed by some sunshine. Sunny spells and the odd shower on Wednesday. Mainly dry with sunny spells on Thursday.
