Today 6th August:

Cloudy start but last of heavy overnight rain soon clearing from Shetland. Then a mainly dry day with sunshine and perhaps the odd shower later in the day. Light winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Mainly dry with clear periods then becoming cloudy later tonight. A cluster of showers will reach Orkney towards morning. Brisk southerly winds. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Wednesday 7th August:

Rather cloudy with scattered showers during the day, some heavy. Also some drier brighter interludes. Fresh southerly winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Sunshine and a few showers on Thursday then more frequent showers and stronger southwest winds on Friday. Another showery, quite windy day on Saturday.
