Shetland cloudy with occasional rain, becoming drier and brighter during the afternoon. Orkney and Fair Isle will see bright spells and the odd passing shower but clouding over later. Fresh to strong southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

This evening will be cloudy with showers or some longer spells of rain. Remaining rather cloudy through the early hours with further showery rain. Fresh southwesterly winds, Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Saturday 10th August:

Shetland rather cloudy at times with showers or perhaps some longer spells of rain. Sunny intervals and the odd shower across Orkney. Less windy. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Mainly dry on Sunday with some sunny spells and light winds. Rain spreading east on Monday, clearing later. Mainly dry on Tuesday.
