Today 12th August:

Rain, occasionally heavy and thundery, will spread northeast during the morning. Orkney becoming dry in the afternoon but outbreaks of rain lingering across Shetland. Windy with strong southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Rain will soon clear Shetland then dry with clear spells but also some haar. A dry and sunny evening across Orkney then clear spells overnight. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Tuesday 13th August:

A dry, sunny morning over Orkney then cloudier with a little rain in afternoon. Some haar affecting Shetland in the morning then brighter with scattered showers in afternoon. Becoming breezy. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Dry and mostly sunny on Wednesday but rain arriving overnight. Rain clearing early Thursday then dry with sunny spells. A few showers on Friday. Strong southwest winds at times.
