Today 12th September:

A mixture of sunny spells and a few showers but these generally lighter than previous days. Best of the sunny spells will be across Orkney. Strong northwest winds will become lighter during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

There will be some clear spells and passing showers overnight. Another chilly night with occasionally fresh west or northwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Friday 13th September:

A day of sunny spells and a few showers, although these mainly light in nature. Still feeling rather cool with a moderate to fresh westerly breeze. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Outbreaks of rain and southwesterly gales on Saturday. Brighter with scattered showers on Sunday and Monday with winds becoming light.
