Cloudy start with some drizzly showers, mainly across Shetland. Cloud breaking from south with Orkney dry, clear by late evening and Shetland by dawn. Southwest breezes backing southerly overnight. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Wednesday 18th September:

A fine days weather with all staying dry with prolonged periods of sunshine. Southerly breezes occasionally freshening across north Shetland. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Cloudy to overcast with occasional patchy light rain and drizzle and some haar conditions, most evident through Thursday. Light southeasterly breezes.
