Occasional mist and drizzle over Orkney in the morning, but mainly dry and cloud lifting. Brightening skies across Shetland, perhaps some sunny breaks developing. Winds light from the east or northeast. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Dry and mostly cloudy this evening, although some breaks possible. Thickening cloud and outbreaks of rain then pushing into Shetland overnight. Light or moderate northeast winds. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Monday 23rd September:

Mostly cloudy with showers or longer outbreaks of rain, but some brighter spells developing across Shetland in the afternoon. Chilly northeast winds. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

It will be bright with some sunny or clear spells and occasional showers. Chilly with winds northeast to northwest in direction, becoming strong on Thursday.
