Today 27th September:

Strong to near gale north to northwest winds will continue to feed quite frequent showers across the Northern Isles, with heavier outbreaks expected through the morning. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Scattered showers and clear spells persisting across Shetland. Showers over Orkney dying away through the evening, then turning cloudy overnight. Strong to near gale winds backing northwesterly. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Saturday 28th September:

Showers for all, heavier across Shetland. Orkney cloudy while Shetland sees occasional bright and sunny spells. Northwest winds fresh to strong at first. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Sunday cloudy, showery, but turning dry later in day. Monday overcast with rain turning heavy at times. Tuesday brings scattered light showers which dwindle later as some limited brightness develops.
