Today 5th December:

A mixture of bright spells and a few showers, some heavy later in the afternoon across Orkney. Fresh southwesterly winds, strong at times over Shetland. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

A band of heavy showers will move east across all parts during the evening. Clear spells and scattered showers will follow after midnight. Strengthening westerly winds. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Friday 6th December:

Bright or sunny spells and a few showers and feeling rather cold. Strong westerly winds easing. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Showers or longer spells of rain Saturday and feeling cold. Showers dying out early Sunday then dry and bright with light winds for rest of the day and on Monday.
