A mainly dry day. Mostly cloudy across Shetland, but the cloud breaking at times to allow some sunny intervals across Orkney. Light to moderate southwest breeze. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

A mostly cloudy evening and night. It will be largely dry, but some patchy light drizzle in the evening. Moderate southwest winds. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Friday 13th December:

A dry start, with some bright spells in the morning. A band of rain sweeps east in the afternoon, clearing to clear spells and showers in the evening. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

A few showers over Shetland Saturday, but mainly dry and bright. Strong westerly winds Sunday and Monday with a few showers, perhaps more persistent rain over Orkney on Monday.
