Very windy with showers or longer periods of rain. Gale or severe gale west or southwest winds will reach storm force across Orkney for a time in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Tonight:
Very windy with showers or longer periods of rain. Gale to severe gale westerly winds, storm force across Orkney will ease somewhat from the evening, turning northwest later. Minimum temperature 4 °C.
Sunday 22nd December:
Gale or severe gale north or northwest winds continue through the day, accompanied by scattered showers and bright spells. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Wind and showers ease Monday morning. Cloud and rain spread east late Monday afternoon with Tuesday becoming breezy with rain at times. Patchy rain continues as the wind eases Wednesday.
