The morning will be dry with sunny spells. The southwest wind will strengthen as cloud builds through the morning. Shetland will stay dry as rain moves into Orkney towards the evening. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight:

Orkney will become dry as evening rain moves to Shetland. the night will continue mild with a strong southwest wind. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Monday 13th January:

Dry at first Orkney otherwise cloudy with rain at times becoming drier towards the evening. Mild with a fresh to strong southwest wind. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Windy but mild conditions continue through the week. Outbreaks of rain are expected most days with drier periods at times over Orkney.
