Variable amounts of cloud with some bright or sunny intervals. A fair amount of dry weather but one or two showers may drift in off the sea. Light and variable winds. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Tonight:
Mainly dry this evening with just the odd shower. Then the rest of the night will be cloudy at times and mostly dry, just a brief shower. Cold. Light winds. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
Thursday 23 January:
Still one or two showers across Shetland and Fair Isle, Orkney will be dry. Some bright spells too. Freshening southeasterly winds in the evening. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Mostly dry at first on Friday but wet and windy extending north. Frequent showers on Saturday with severe westerly gales at first, easing later. Still a few showers on Sunday.
