Tonight:

Shetland will be cloudy with further showers or longer spells of rain, becoming windy later. Clear periods and a few showers across Orkney. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Thursday 30 January:

A cloudy morning with showery rain, this lingering across Shetland into the afternoon. Orkney will become drier and brighter by afternoon. Chance of gales across Shetland at first Cold. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

The odd shower at first on Friday otherwise dry, bright with light winds. Dry and windy on Saturday, southwesterly gales later. Rain on Sunday with easing winds.
