Today 2 February:

Rather cloudy with some rain and strong southerly winds. The bulk of the rain will affect Shetland, with only a few light outbreaks expected over Orkney. Cloud and rain clearing all late afternoon, as the winds ease and veer westerly. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Dry with clear spells at first. Cloud building from the west from late evening, bringing some patchy rain overnight, as winds back the the south and strengthen. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Monday 3 February:

A dull day with rain, this heavier and most persistent during the afternoon. Southerly winds strong to near gale winds. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Tuesday brings frequent showers, then gradually improving with Wednesdays showers occasional, then staying dry for Thursday with good sunny spells developing.
